YARD PROJECTS

With the warmer weather on the way, we have so many projects in the yard that we need to do this spring and summer. We are getting ready to pour some concrete on the side of the house and Mitch rented a backhoe to level out the rock and dirt. Jaycee, of course, wanted to be doing what daddy was doing and had a ball riding in the backhoe helping Mitch.

Thanks to my dad who is always willing to come up and lend us a hand. You are great!

SNOWMOBILING

It has been a wonderful winter for snowmobiling and Mitch and my dad have definitely enjoyed the abundance of snow. Jaycee absolutely loves to go snowmobiling (she calls it a mower, long story), so we decided we better purchase another sled that she and I could ride on together. My mom was nice enough to watch the baby for us and we took Jaycee up snowmobiling. She had so much fun. She was pointing up the big mountains, saying, "Go fast, up there". She was too cute. We had a lot of fun!

Growing Up.

I thought that Jaycee grew up too fast, now with Jordyn it seems like the days are just flying by. She is already 7 weeks and it feels like I just brought her home. I feel guilty because I don't have nearly as many pictures of Jordyn that I do for Jaycee, but the day disappears and I am stuck at nighttime wondering what happened! So, I had to take some pictures today. She is such a wonderful baby and we enjoy her so much. Jaycee has also been fabulous. Mitch and I feel so blessed to have such wonderful girls!!! (For now at least, I am sure they will give us a run for our money as they get older, especially teenagers!)

Jaycee saw Jordyn getting her picture taken and went to get on her dress ups. She won't smile for the picture, but she sure likes to be in them!

2 CUTE 4 WORDS

Here are some very cute pictures of my little girls. I am trying to find a cute one for an announcement.

GIRLS LUNCH

Maren, Tina, Briana and I had a lunch together with the kids a little while ago. It is pretty scary to think that between the 4 of us, we have 7 children!!! It was fun to get them all together and watch them interact with one and other (Mostly, the babies just sat). Anyways it was great to get together and I look forward to doing it again soon! This is just about the best picture we could get of all the kids together. It is almost impossible to get 7 children to sit still and look at you (forget smiling), especially when 4 are under 8 months!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!!!

January has been a busy month for us this year. In addition to Jaycee's 2nd birthday on the 14th, Mitch and I also celebrated our 6th Anniversary on the 18th!!! As hard as it is to believe that Jaycee is now 2, it is much harder to believe that Mitch and I have been married for 6 years. A newborn is not real conducive to a nice romantic weekend or even a romantic night for that matter, so we celebrated with a wonderful dinner out and an anticipated cruise next year on our anniversary.

The last 6 years have brought us so much! In looking back, here is a little bit that has happened in our lives the last 6 years.

  • We moved across the country and back to end up in Twin Falls, Idaho (2/2003).
  • Mitch started his career as a Certified Volkswagen Technician (6/2003).
  • We got another dog (in addition to Rusty who we bought in high school (3/2005).
  • We bought our first house (4/2005).
  • We had Jaycee, our beautiful little princess (1/2007).
  • Alison started her job as a medical transcriptionist (3/2007).
  • Moved back home to Utah (3/2008).
  • Bought our second home (5/2008).
  • Got our first renters for our home in Twin Falls (6/2008).
  • Welcomed grandma to our house (7/2008).
  • And finally, had our 2nd beautiful girl, Jordyn (12/2008).

It is hard to express just how grateful I am for the relationship that Mitch and I have. I love him more than words can say!!! Six years ago, I thought that I had reached the very peak of how much I could love someone, but day by day, that amount has grown. I still think that it is not possible to love someone anymore than how much I love Mitch. So, thank you honey for being such a wonderful husband and father!!!! You are the very best and I could not ask for anything more!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAYCEE!!!

We celebrated Jaycee's 2nd birthday on the 14th of January. It is hard to belive that our little girl is now 2. Boy, does the time go by so fast. We decided with the new baby and all that we should just do a little family party for her and we had a lot of fun.
I absolutely love this little dress I found for Jaycee. I got it in November and I am dying to put it on her and take some pictures. She will look so cute!

Jordyn Paige Johnson!!!!

We welcomed the newest little member to our family on 12/27/2008. Jordyn Paige Johnson was born at 7:26 p.m. weighing in at 6 pounds 10 ounces and 20 inches long.

She is a wonderful baby and we have enjoyed her so much. It has been pretty crazy around here the last 2 weeks and it is hard to believe that our baby is now 2 weeks old.

Jaycee has been a wonderful big sister. She has loved Jordyn from the time that she first came to see her in the hospital. She has been such a big help too. I was pretty nervous about how she was going to react when we brought Jordyn home, but she has been nothing short of perfect!

Here are a few more pictures that we have taken over the past couple weeks.

Christmas 2008

Christmas was very exciting for us this year. We had so much fun watching Jaycee's face as she was surprised with all the presents Christmas morning. I realized just now that we did not do a very good job with the picture taking, as we took mostly video. So, here are a couple of pictures from before the presents were unwrapped. More pictures to post later after I get them from my parents. You can always count on the grandparents to have their cameras snapping pictures.

We learned our lesson this year with the little beetle to leave the favorite gifts until the very end. Jaycee saw this car and would not even look at any of the other gifts that she had bee given. It was so bad that Dad had to take the car and hide it (Jaycee cried) to even have her unwrap anything else from under the tree. She absolutely loves this little car!
