Santa Claus is Coming to Town
Last, but not least, we took Jaycee over to see Santa at the mall. We were a little nervous because last year she just screamed and screamed. She actually did really, really well. She was being shy and hardly looked at him, but she sat on his lap so we could get a cute picture!
Okay, I am finally caught up with the majority of what has happened in the last month. We hope you all have a very, very Merry Christmas. Hopefully we will have a new baby to post about next!!!
Too Cute
Here are a few pictures of Jaycee that I have taken recently that I had to post because she is just too cute. She loves to wear her daddy's hat and his gloves if they are around.
I love Jaycee in this big furry coat. She looks like a little Eskimo.
My sister watched Jaycee for a little while when I went to one of my OB appointments and she took these pictures of Jaycee and Jack reading a book. They are so very cute together.
Ohh, and I cannot forget to post the picture with her and Mitch on the snowmobile. She is learning early to love daddy's hobbies!
Treehouse Museum in Ogden
I took Jaycee with a mom's group to the Treehouse Museum in Ogden. It was really, really neat. Everything there was for the kids to play with and Jaycee loved it. There was nothing there that she could not touch or play with. Best of all, she could run around from room to room and I didn't have to worry about her going somewhere or touching something she shouldn't. They also had a lot of really neat things for the kids to do. I did not get a whole lot of pictures because Jaycee was going crazy bouncing around the museum and playing with the different things.
Let it snow, Let it snow!!!
Mitch and Jaycee have had a ball with all of the snow that we have been getting recently. Mitch came up with the idea of pulling Jaycee around in a sled and/or her little ambulance behind the lawnmower. Jaycee absolutely loves this, especially in her car. The other day, they drove around the whole neighborhood and backyard. The next morning, Jaycee was very upset to realize that her dad had gone back to work and would not be able to take her around in the car. She told him so on the phone. It was very cute. I could catch the words "snow", "outside" and "mower". It is so much fun to see these two outside playing together. I wish that I did not feel like hippo, or I would be outside playing too.
THANKSGIVING
So, I have been a total slacker with the posting. It has been so crazy with the holidays here. It seems like they just creeped up on us this year and it has been a whirlwind ever since! We had Thanksgiving at our house this year and had a wonderful time. I actually had to work (bummer), so Mitch and the rest of the family (mom, dad, aunt and uncle) were left to prepare the majority of the food. I was only upstairs (I work from home doing medical transcription) so I could supervise with a quick trip down the stairs. Thanks to everyone who came and helped out. Ohh, I totally forgot to take pictures too!
Also, we did our traditional Black Friday shopping again this year. I was at Walmart in Syracuse bright and early at 4:30, but not early enough. I went to get Jaycee a riding Barbee Jeep, but by the time I got there, they were all spoken for. People are crazy. There were people that had lined up for the electronics the night before! No worries, I did get her a Volkswagen covertible bug from a different store opening (more fitting I guess since Mitch is a Volkswagen technician). Mitch and I were shopping until 9 o'clock that night, but were very glad that when we were done that night, all our Christmas shopping was done.

Classic Fun Center
We took Jaycee over to the Classic Fun Center a little while ago here in Layton and she loved the blow up toys (Mitch did too)!!! They actually had quite a few and the ones with the large slides were her favorite. Mitch and I loved having her play in the toys because she could not get hurt. She jumped on them, ran off of them onto other blow up toys and loved it! It was great!
Reading
Jaycee loves to read books!!! She will sit for a long time just looking at them and talking out loud like she is actually reading what is written on the pages. Her newest thing (now that we have started potty training) is to take off her pants and sit on the toilet to read a good book. It is too cute and I had to take some pictures. She also loves reading to her stuffed animals, etc.

Cutest Cousins
Jack and Jaycee are so cute together. Everytime Briana and I get together we can't help but take a picture of these two. I can hardly wait until Jack Man gets a little bigger and starts giving Jaycee a dose of her own medicine (she actually is really great with him). He already almost out weighs her, so I know it should be good.
THE BIG DAY!!!!
We were so excited this year to take Jaycee trick-or-treating! She was so cute dressed up like a snow angel. She loved to carry her "purse" full of the candy and would not let anyone touch it after we were all done. She sat on our table for probably a half hour after we were done looking at it all and sorting it out. Halloween with children is so much fun!!!!
Carving Pumpkins
We had so much fun carving pumpkins this year. Every year, before we had kids, Mitch and I would carve up a pumpkin for tradition, but it is a lot more fun to have a toddler and a 94-year-old grandmother in the mix. Jaycee thought that the gooey inside was pretty cool and helped us all get our pumpkins cleaned out.
Nana was a great sport and did really well scraping out and carving up a pumpkin.
Of course after the carving was complete, we all had to have a couple pieces of candy to get ready for the upcoming holiday. Jaycee was nice enough to share some previously sucked on M&Ms with Nana. Nana didn't mind too much and just enjoyed watching Jaycee have so much fun!
Johnson Halloween Party
Every year Mitch's family gets together and has a Halloween party. This was one of the first years that we have been able to go, since we lived in Twin Falls and couldn't get down before.
All the kids looked so cute all dressed up in their costumes. Jaycee and her cousin Jared, who is just a month older, were so cute together. We realized that Jaycee was dressed up like a princess and Jared was a frog. We couldn't get them to kiss, but they would hold hands. They were so cute together!!!
Of course after all the fun was had, Jaycee decided she needed to sit down and it needed to be in the dirt! This is not the best picture, but I had to add it because this is so Jaycee. She loves to look "pretty", but getting dirty is just as much fun!!!

Syracuse Pumpkin Walk
We took Jaycee over to the Syracuse Pumpkin Walk tonight and it was really neat. There were 800 different carved pumpkins all lit and up lined up for all to see. Jaycee thought it was really neat. They even handed out candy for the little ones for trick-or-treating. Some of the designs were incredible and I could not believe that people actually carved them. None of the pumpkins that I have ever carved have ever looked that good. Anyways, here are a couple of pics.

Halloween Trunk or Treat
Jaycee had her very first experience with treat-or-treating last night at our ward's Halloween truck or treat. She was a little unsure about taking the candy out of the containers that people were holding, but was very excited to see how full her "purse" was at the end. She was acting really, really shy through the beginning and eventually started to warm up to the idea when she met her first truly dressed up parent. It was our next door neighbor dressed up as a hunter. It scared her to death! She looked so very cute dressed up as a snow fairy, though.

FIRST SNOW OF THE SEASON
I am sure that many of you were just as surprised to wake up on a Sunday morning a few weeks ago and find a whole lot of snow everywhere! This being the first snow for us in our new house, I had to take some pictures. Jaycee's favorite aspect of the snow was eating it.
We couldn't resist getting all bundled up and going out back to try to make our first snowman of the season, but the snow wouldn't cooperate. Jaycee didn't seem to mind though, she was just fine trying eat as much as she could. The dogs absolutely love when it snows outside and covers the ground. They played for hours this Sunday out there chasing each other around the backyard.
Later that night, there was a gorgeous full moon that looked incredible above the snow dusted mountains.
Favorite things
Jaycee's two favorite things right now are "colors" (crayons, colored pencils, or any type of writing utensil she can find) and talking on the phone. She is getting pretty good and multitasking already and this is a picture of her coloring and just chatting to dad one morning. She is getting to the point that she will actually carry on a full conversation with Mitch on the phone with jabber, side effects and faces. It is pretty funny to watch.
LOVIN' DADDY
For those of you who do not know, Jaycee absolutely loves, loves, loves her dad! Most mornings, when she gets up, she asks for daddy and after being told he is at work, she wants to call and talk to him on the phone. This week, because she is teething those nasty molars again, she actually cried when I told her that he was at work. Here are a few recent Jaycee and Daddy moments. She especially loves to go crawl in bed after she gets up if Mitch is still in there and just lie down next to him. They are so very cute together!
